# Paralegal daily rundown

**Ask for this when:** you are starting your day and want to know what
is due, what is missing from a calendar, and what needs filing - dates
first.

> "What's on my plate today?"
> "Give me my daily rundown."
> "What's due in the next two weeks?"

If your firm's account lists you as a paralegal, "morning brief" gets
you this version.

## What it shows you

A short read, in this order:

- **Due today and over the next two weeks**: tasks due today, then
every court date and deadline in date order with the matter number.
Anything with nothing logged on the matter yet is flagged as a prompt
to look, never as a claim that the work is undone.
- **Calendar gaps**: Clio dates that are not on your Outlook calendar,
and Outlook meetings with no Clio counterpart, with an offer to put
  them on both.
- **Filing**: how many emails are unfiled with a clear matter, how many
need a look, and the ones from people who are not Clio contacts
counted separately so they do not read as a backlog.
- **Quiet matters**: open files with no recorded activity past the
firm's threshold, longest first, with an offer to draft a check-in
  for the attorney to review.
- **Your own time**, only if you record time in Clio: possible missing
  entries this week.

It ends with two or three concrete next steps drawn from what it found,
and does nothing until you pick one.

## What it can't do

- It reads your own mailbox, calendar, and Clio account. An attorney's
inbox is not in it unless it is shared with you in Outlook.
- It is a summary. The full lists live in the filing, billing, and
calendar-sync guides; ask for them by name.
- It never files, calendars, or drafts as part of the rundown. Each of
those is its own "show me first, then yes".
